Most likely, life will go on and you probably won't notice much of a difference. The government will be looking for someone in the private sector to sell the company to. It will be at that point that changes will occur, depending on who buys the company. Mexico nationalized the entire banking industry in 1982. Since then, all banks have returned to private ownership, and all of the biggest Mexican banks are no longer Mexican owned, not even Banco Nacional de Mexico (now a subsidiary of CitiBank) Something similar may happen in the US.
